Coronavirus and contacting the Town Council

Following updated guidance from the Government and their professional health specialists, the town council offices at the Community Centre will be closed for face-to-face visits for the foreseeable future. However, we can still be contacted via email on pottoncouncil@btconnect.com or phone 01767 260086.

At this time (19/03/2020), our hireable facilities remain open and we wish to reassure users of our facilities that whilst we always maintain a good standard of cleanliness, we have increased cleaning of high touch areas. If the situation changes and we feel we must close the Community Centre and Pavilion at Mill Lane, we will provide an update on our website www.pottontowncouncil.co.uk, Facebook page and will contact hirers immediately.

At this challenging time, with daily changes to the situation, we urge all residents to be mindful of your elderly or vulnerable neighbours. Perhaps you could offer to collect their shopping or prescriptions? This confusing and perhaps frightening time will see some people, particularly in isolation, feeling lonely. Perhaps you could consider passing those people your contact number, spend some time chatting to them on the phone, and a regular call to make sure they are still well.

Please ensure you keep yourself fully informed on latest Government and NHS updates, which will be issued on a very regular basis.
