Winter break for garden waste collections
Important update for garden waste collection subscribers
Central Bedfordshire Council will temporarily pause garden waste collections for 12 weeks this winter, from Monday 1st December 2025 to Friday 20th February 2026.
The final garden waste collection for Potton will take place on Friday 21st November. All other waste and recycling collections will continue as normal during this period.
Potton’s garden waste collections will resume on Friday 27th February 2026.

Residents with enough space in their gardens are encouraged to home compost and can access tips and advice on CBC’s website.
