Warm Spaces

Organisations based in Potton have come together this winter to provide Warm Spaces for people who might be facing tough decisions about heating their homes during the day. Warm Spaces are being set up around the UK by many different organisations with support from volunteers and local government. The spaces are open to anyone who wants to come in – all ages, no judgement, no questions, we just ask that people appreciate they are public and we expect people to respect each other, the volunteers and the spaces themselves. Hot drinks are being provided along with some snacks in most cases. The Warm Spaces will have toilet facilities or these will be nearby, and people are welcome to bring games or books to entertain themselves. We are learning what works so we may well be able to improve facilities during the coming weeks.
